1) Photo type
If you’re going to take the time to have moderators manually approve photos then it shouldn’t be that much more work for those moderators to then classify photos.
Categories should be:
1) Face
2) Full body
3) Full body without face
4) Other (any pictures that do not fit in the above categories)
2) Verification
Now I’ve been a practicing homosexual for some ten years now and I’ve seen my fair share of porn on the web and like to think I’m savvy enough to spot when someone is using someone elses pictures on the web. Spotting fakes is easy enough, its usually a low resolution picture, and when probed is usually followed by “I don’t have facebook” or “I don’t have any other pictures”. Come the fuck on Bridget, its 2011 and you’re using Grindr on an iPhone or a Blackberry (I may be wrong but I hear phones can come with camera built in now!) If you’re using an iPod touch you can sync photos onto that so lets cut the bullshit already. Get a few pictures or get fucked. I also find if someone is too good to be true, they usually are. So my advice is block.

Alas, for some reason Grindr seems to suffer from a plague of people using fake pictures. I don’t understand the logic behind this but my theory is its dirty old perverts, married weirdos, or ugly people (or all of the above) looking to waste time by chatting and harvesting pictures of people on Grindr. It pisses me off. Grindr should offer verification as standard, its not hard to do and would make the whole chatting to people online a bit safer for their users and offer something that their competition does not as yet offer.
3) Restrict visibility from groups of people
Using this with the above photo type functionality and verification would be amazing, I for one am not comfortable with people knowing what I look like and approximately where I am, yet they retain their anonymity.

I would like the ability to hide myself from people who are unverified, people that are not showing a clear face picture, are not within my preferred age range, or are partnered. I am sick of blocking / getting random messages from peoples chests, legs, feet, cars, views from their window or any other random imagery, and guys who are looking to cheat on their boyfriends.
4) Friends list
Favourites and friends would be nice to be seperated. I speak to a lot of friends on here as for some reason its the best way to get a reply out of them (you love the cock, you know who you are!) and I have a few rows taken up with friends which makes it harder to see the trolls that are near me, or the torsos I can block (its way more fun that Angry Birds)

5) Block list
I don’t like the “unblock all” function. Its risky, some people I block for a very good reason, others can be accidentally blocked or they may piss me off in the heat of the moment and I may think oops I didn’t want to do that. Unblocking a specific person would be a good feature to add. Theres a couple of people I’ve blocked accidentally that I wouldn’t mind catching up with but not at the expense of opening the flood gates of hell and having all kinds of circus freaks hassle me again.
