Actually let me clarify, poorly researched internet copy and paste garbage statuses piss me off. One that has been doing the rounds for a while is this one:
“Homosexuality is found in over 10 ½ / 450 / 500 / 1500 / 1 kajillion / species. Homophobia is only found in one. Which one seems UNNATURAL now?”

Blergh. Why is unnatural even in full caps?
As a gay man I can say I don’t approve of homophobia (despite how many of Reading’s homosexuals I’d happily see die in a fire) but this argument really has no weight in my book (blah blah blah my book). For one I don’t think it is very well researched, what with all the variations of this “fact” and the second is that the argument has next to no logic.
Let’s take the main learning of this “fact”; Humans should do the same as animals, because there are many fluffy cute animals and many fluffy cute things = correct, and make some other generic copy and paste “aren't I oh so forward thinking and creative” fact statuses shall we?
Filial cannibalism is found in most species, but not humans. Which one seems unnatural now?
Coprophagia is performed by over 500 species. Which one seems unnatural now?
Nearly 100% of animals mate with their offspring or close relatives. Which one seems unnatural now?
Ducks sometimes practice necrophilia. Which one seems unnatural now?
Dolphins practice gang rape on females that reject their sexual advances. Which one seems unnatural now?
This monkey raped a frog. Which one seems unnatural now?
Only one species is stupid enough to copy and paste moronic poorly researched shit onto Facebook. Which one is unnatural now?
As far as homophobia goes, I don't care whether or not homosexuality is natural or not. A bit of anal sex really is the business.
